CODING WITH PURPOSE

As a Information Technology student, when I first arrived to college I was terrified of coding. I thought it was an idea that I wouldn't ever understand. However, now after having taken mutliple classes I feel more confident in my abilities to deliver high quality and organized code.

Below are some of my favorite projects that showcase my skills and approach to development. From web applications, to homework, to group projects. Take a look at my journey and how far I've come!

BOMBY WEBSITE PROJECT

Python Django HTML / CSS / PYTHON

A modern web development project showcasing frontend and backend skills with a focus on user experience and performance optimization. Includes a full E-Commerce platform with user authentication, product listings, and checkout functionality.

The biggest hurdle to get over was organizing the different django apps and stringing them together to make sure they all worked together. The 'STORE' app is built of the foundation of the 'ACCOUNTS' app, and all the apps (including 'PORTFOLIO') are all built off of the 'MAIN' app. Getting this organizational structure put together was a challenge with trying to figure out exactly how to string them all together.

INFOTC-2040

C# OOP GUI

In INFOTC-2040, In this course I implemented algorithms and data structures to solve problems while ultilizing paradigms offered by the programming language such as procedural, object-oriented, protocol-oriented, functional, and declarative. This course taught me how to determine an algorithm's efficiency, designing application architecture, and develop applications. I also built and used libraries and application programming interfaces. This class was challenging, but very fun!

FRATERNITY WEBSITE PROJECT

Python DJANGO HTML / CSS / PYTHON

Designed my fraternity's new website in a Web Dev team. Our old site was broken and horribly out of date, so we built the new website from the ground up. It features secure account management, data organization, and a branded theme.

By learning together how to function in a fullstack Web Development team we were able to figure out how to ultilize our workspaces more purposefully. By sitting down during our meetings and understanding our GitHub worked and how to branch the code we started having better design patterns and ran into near zero conflicts down the line.

INFOTC-1040

In INFOTC-1040, I completed problem solving methods and programming concepts. I also provided experience in designing, developing, implementing, and testing programs. I enjoyed this class very much and it was a great first step into the world of coding!

Interfaces including the file system, command shells, text editors, pipes and filters, input/output system, shell scripting and Regular Expressions, cloud computing, and containers. Introduced to System Administration and Operating Systems.

The repository hosting all of my group and I's projects through the semester. Implementing Object-Oriented-Programming with different methods for a multitude of different projects. This was my first introduction to Java!

How I became a developer

SPRING 2025

Gaining Confidence and Website Projects

Completed my first two full-stack web application using Django, React, and PostgreSQL. This project taught me about integrating frontend and backend technologies. I developed my Fraternity's (Sigma Phi Delta) website and my personal BOMBY website.

FALL 2024

Broadening my Horizons

Dove into different languages like C# in INFOTC-2040 and Bash for Unix (INFOTC-3530). First experience with Object-Oriented-Programming and System Administration.

SPRING 2024

First Steps in Programming

Started learning Python in INFOTC-1040. Discovered a passion for coding and creating to get my ideas out into the world.
